Labor Day

Labor Day is supposed to be a day of rest...right?? Anyway, we made sure we got here to Rochester MN early, due to the RNC that is in nearby Minneapolis and the crazy airline industry. We are so glad to be here ahead of time and at peace.
This is truly the midwest..."It's aboat 2:30p"...Canadian sounding, eh? Huge international community here due to people coming from around the world to Mayo. All the restaurants boast who has eaten there (Pres. Bush, Bono, kings of countries, etc). So, there are east African restaurants, Greek cafes, mosques and Lutheran churches all together here.

The Mayos were quite the frontier family, starting a hospital here in the middle of nowhere (still is) and because of professionalism, true concern and world renown care are at the top of their game.

I go for tests and appointments all day Tuesday (Sep. 02) beginning at 6:45am thru 4p. There are several different buildings we will travel between with skyways across these old city streets. It is a beautiful, restful day, but I know that tomorrow begins a serious new chapter. "Those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing." (Psalm 34:10)
